Bilstein Shocks+Hardware 850,V70,S70,C70
I am selling a practically new set of Bilstein HD front and rear shocks + hardware from a '97 850 wagon. The shocks only got about 1,000 miles on them before my car was t-boned and declared totaled. Absolutely no damage to the wheels or suspension, it was a clean hit to the B-pillar so I took the new suspension parts off when it was hauled to the junkyard. The kit I bought is the Volvo Suspension Kit Front (850 C70 S70 V70) - Bilstein HD/OEM Mounts VFSK2-HD from FCP for $747.33 and the rear shocks separately for $105.95 each. I spent over $1000 total so I'm asking $600 obo for everything since they're slightly used and Bilsteins have a lifetime warranty.

Couple of questions, where are you located and what model 850 do the rear shocks fit?
I have a 1997 850AWD wagon and I have searched and found the front kit will work but not sure about the rear? I realize you had them on a 1997 850 wagon but was it the AWD model? Thanks.

Hey Fogducker, I'm located in Orlando, FL and I'm not 100% sure about the rear shocks. The AWD 850 models were only available in Canada and Europe so I wasn't able to find any hard data on them at any of the US Volvo part suppliers like FCP. However I did call FCP and talked to a representative that said he was 99% sure the shocks would work as long as you didn't have a self leveling rear suspension system. Which I wouldn't think the 850 AWD would have. But if you want to confirm this 100% the FCP rep said to call and tell them your VIN # so they could do some more investigating Monday.

Thanks man, I have since found out the AWD's do have the self-levelling set-up but can be changed if the shocks AND springs in the rear are changed, have to confirm that from other sources. Having said that, you being in the south eastern US and me being in the north west of Canada, I don't think this would be a viable transaction....;-) Good luck with the sale. Jeremy
