Hi all,

Posting for my landlord - she has a 1987 240 sedan for sale. I myself am a 240 owner and enthusiast; this would be a FANTASTIC project for a 240 enthusiast because it has such low mileage (for a 240) and a manual transmission. I would love to purchase it myself but can't fathom yet another vehicle at the moment.

-Miles: 153,000

-General condition: Driveable, salvage Nevada title, was backed in to and wasn't worth enough money so it was "totaled".

-Exterior: Back bumper needs re-attachment, white paint is in great shape, no , body is in excellent condition, trailer hitch attached and in great shape, no sun roof

-Interior: glove box cover needs re-attachment, dashboard is cracked but has a cover, gauges all work including tachometer, radio works and sounds good, tan fabric seats are in good shape, floor carpet has no tears or rips but a few small stains

-Electrical: Battery meters out to 13.7 volts, alternator may need brushes soon. Major electrical grounds have all been cleaned recently.

-Tires, wheels, brakes: Needs brakes and rotors soon, all-season tires are almost new and mounted on the original Volvo 14" steel wheels with the fancy Volvo hubcaps, all in fantastic shape

-Exhaust: Car has been garaged most of it's life, minimal rust under the car. Passed Nevada smog check ~1.5-2 years ago.

-Transmission: 5-speed manual, shifting feels good, clutch has been adjusted recently and probably has 10-15K miles left on it before it needs replacement

-Engine: A/C, fan and power steering belts all replaced a few months ago (car has not been driven more than 100 miles since), timing belt is probably due for service. No sticker on the engine as to when the timing belt was last replaced so I'd assume it's original. Engine sounds good and makes good power, compression test reveals almost new compression (in the 180-190 range for all four cylinders).

This is a great car that needs a little TLC to be a fantastic car.
