To sum up, I believe the car to be mechanically sound but cosmetically challenged (plus the clutch sensor fault).

We would suggest the car be towed or trailered but has driven 10 miles from the garage without issue.

The car runs and drives really well but the clutch sensor is a potential 'time bomb' and let us down once and required AA to tow us home. Garage check shows the fault on paperwork we have and so we are selling as need reliable car. If using scrap parts and own labour could be £200 fix we are told but not experts so cannot testify to that.

This is a well used 2002 V70 Diesel 2.4. It has many minor dings and issues but is mechanically sound (as best we know) except for a faulty clutch position sensor (a fairly costly fix using a garage and genuine part of about £1,100). Car has been owned for about 8 years and is low miles for the year (126,608miles). Two sets of keys with fobs.
Car has 2 new tyres and two 5 month/2,500mil tyres. Recent full service (costing £700+ inc. the tyres).
Car serviced every year and some history available.

The main cosmetic faults are as listed here but this might not be an exhaustive list, there are other minor scratches etc. you'd expect on a car of this age:
Drivers side front and rear doors scuffed and dinged along bottom edge, including no plastic trim pieces.
Dent on rear passenger door below window about 8cm across (minor crease but paint not broken)
Slight cracking of front spoiler near drivers side fog lamp but not loose (might just be the paint)
Rear Dome light has fallen into the roof lining
Bonnet near passenger side has area scratched by cloth when removing bird droppings about 7cm across but paint not broken
**** missing from radio for CD track change and radio scan/source **** cracked
Cigar lighter missing (but 12volt socket works fine).
Glove box cover has several scuffs and nicks but works fine
11cm deep scratch into paint between upper wheel well and front indicator drivers side.
Many other bits and pieces looking a bit tired but it works.

Car NOT used by smokers or used to carry pets.
