My guess would be no talkie. If you make all the computers think they are still in the same car (as each other) then it'll be okay. This is not a difficult project technically but it'll take a while....

"No Start" is a common problem, but of course it doesn't have common solutions. She'll have to get a mechanic on the scene that knows volvos. Could be something very simple.

I can't see what it sold for, but I would say quite cheap. Copart makes sense if you are the dealer. If you have to pay somebody to buy for you, it's just not worth it.

There is a lot of plumbing between the maf and the throttle. I would look for a leak between those two points. The rubber parts deteriorate over time, but of course there are a lot of them to check.

If they diagnosed it that way then they do know something about volvos. On a turbo, all that junk goes through the turbo some of the time. There is some oil that gets into the turbocharger piping...

I thought about that. If that were the case, I don't think revving it up would ever make it start, but I could be wrong. After you rev it up and get 13.9 volts, does it keep working at idle?

Hi Roger, there are a lot of no start threads on here, every month or two. A 1998 S70 is exactly like an 850, so all the 850 no start threads would also apply.

Do you have spark? Fuel pressure?

It might be easiest to hole saw the frame, then remove the original thread insert, and then just build it back up with a regular nut if you like. when the subframe is reattached, then you can close...
