An 1800 that was split down the middle and widened to sit on a Corvette chassis...

 

Are you saying that it's a Corvette with a P1800 body?

 

Yup. And a pretty new Corvette too as I recall. Because it was split down the middle, a custom windshield and rear glass had to be made for it. I figure the guy had to have at least 75K in it. He found out, like me, no modified Volvo ever gets an award at VCOA sanctioned meets. The "blue hairs" walked by and stuck their collective noses up in the air. I thought it was gorgeous. It was at the 2008 VCOA Midsommar meet in Kansas. Here's a link to the photos...was a lot of fun...but, like him, my V8 740 got no love either. It's getting better...but VCOA meets still seem to be populated with old folks who want to talk push rod motors and look down on modded Bricks. I've gone round and round with them over the years. For the 2008 meet, they had a separate Turbobricks section. Didn't translate to any real awards though...except for Nick's V70. is it just me or does the V-1800 look like a poisonous blow fish?

 

This car seems quite good and better than others because of look and colour. In fact, I love red colour cars, this is might be great to drive for me. Because I always prefer such type of cars.

First Volvo I ever remember seeing was when my Mom married my step dad. He had a red 1800 (65 I think). I would be the first in line if Volvo would ever bring that car back... kind of like what Ford, Chevy and Dodge did with their iconic 60's cars.
