Default 2001 Volvo S40 blowing cold air.

Hey all! New Member here.

Just got a used S40 from someone local and it was running great but recently the air is only blowing cold. I wanted to get some ideas of what it could be before bringing it to a mechanic. Recently replaces the battery and got the systems flushed and cleans and I'm wondering if somehow that maintenance could have caused an adverse issue?

Thanks in advance!

these cars run coolant through the heater core full time and control the heat via a door which controls airflow. if you dont have any blinking lights on the AC/REC, I'd look to see if the controller motor is still connected to the vent door. that will require opening up the sides of the center console and underside trim or possibly by removing the glove box
