H&R springs
Does anyone know if the springs for the '96 850 turbo sedan will work on the wagon? I ask because i ordered some online and later found out that the spring model # corresponds to the one on the H&R site that is for sedans, while my vehicle is a wagon. (When i went to order there was no distinction so i figured they were the same springs for both. Apparently not.) Are the physical dimensions different, the rate different, or both? Anyone know?

RE: H&R springs
I really don't know, butwagons and sedans oftenhave diff curb weights and/or weight distribution, so perhaps the spring rates are slightly diff. Wish I could help more, hopefully someone will know for sure....

RE: H&R springs
I'm going to say don't use them. Get ones made for the wagon. I think someone tried this before and the rear sagged a lot when they used sedan springs on a wagon.

RE: H&R springs
Agree with S70. The weight distribution and loads are different for the sedans and wagons. I believe I read somewhere where the rear spring on the wagons is a stiffer spring.

RE: H&R springs
I think i agree with you, S70. I ordered the correct springs from tirerack last night. After thinking about it, i didn't want to have to mess with trying to make it work. I'm sure they are different model #s for a reason. I don't think shox.com takes returns...guess i'll just try to turn around and sell them. Ah well. Anyone want some H&R springs? ;)

RE: H&R springs
Try and return them. If they haven't been installed I don't see why they wouldn't take them back.
If all else fails sells them on here, volvospeed, turbobricks, swedespeed, etc.... CraigsList and EBAY. |
RE: H&R springs
try IPDUSA.com they have the spring for the volvo.. I used their lowering spring on my 940. it rides awesome!!!!
