$10.00 for the radio code?!
Well....my "new" ownership is starting down a different path than I would have hoped.
I called the local dealership to get my radio code which has been misplaced. Has to be in person, which I can appreciate, but wants to charge $10.00? This can't take more than 5 minutes. Is this common? |
RE: $10.00 for the radio code?!
If they are going to charge you they are not a reputable dealer. Call another dealer most will do it over the phone and will not charge. Just make sure you have your VIN # ready.

Your post interested me so I Googled "volvo radio code"
the first link charges $28!!! yikes, the second link tells you how to get it for free :-) I hope this helps, there are more links, if these don't help try Googling also. http://www.radio-code.com/Volvo-Pay-Page-radio-code.htm http://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/radio.php |
They don't call them "stealerships" for nothing.

And still true. Like many others we've been responding to recently, this post originated in 2008...

My dealer parts counter gave it to me for free. Probably a method to keep me coming back for parts.
