Default 1983 Volvo 240 Odometer fix

Hello all,

The odometer in my 1983 245 has been broken for sometime, and I was in the junkyard today and found a fully intact instrument cluster in a 1984 244. Seeing as the odometer read 200k miles, I figured I might as well remove the entire instrument cluster and see if I can fix my odometer with the one from the 244. I followed all the instructions on this website, but the one problem I'm having with the 244 speedometer is removing the two black screws on the speedometer faceplate itself. I'm using the 244 instrument cluster as my practice run, so I don't mind if I scratch it up a bit, but that won't be acceptable when I move on to my car. Is there an easy way to get these screws off, or is it not worth the trouble to replace the mechanical odometers? Thank you.

And the reason I didn't just put the speedometer from the 244 in is because it goes to 120mph, my wagon only goes to 85 mph. I didn't want to confuse it!
