Default 1988 240 Wagon rear tires rub. suspension? shocks?

I recently puy 16" tires on my 88 240 wagon with wheel spacers... Now when I go over a bump I can hear the tires rubbing.. Do you think those hockey pucks would solve the problem?

only if they fit the seat on the springs.. sounds like the rim/tire is sticking out too far due to the spacers and backspacing of the rim, and is catching on the edge of the wheelwell lip... if the pucks fit the spring, this should give you enough clearance, but be careful not to load too much in the back of the car, or they'll rub again...

Ive read somewhere that you can hammer out the wheel lip for space? I think the pucks would be a better option.
