1988 Volvo 240 A/T failed smog test in CA

Hey guys, I took my Volvo for the smog test and it failed miserably. Check out the attached file of the report. The guy at the smog place said I need a new CAT, timing adjustment, and that I also have a fuel leak somewhere.
I have been working on this Volvo since I got it so im familiar with it but the timing is something ive never done and checking for a fuel leak I would know where to start. The CAT I'll leave it to a pro. Anybody know of a thread or know about the timing or the fuel leak check? thanks

here are the results since I couldn't upload the file

IGNITION TIMING: 19 BTDC : FAIL
FUEL EVAPORATIVE CONTROLS FUNCTIONAL: FAIL

EMISSIONS: HC(PPM) CO(%) NO (PPM)
TEST MAX MEAS MAX MEAS MAX MEAS
15 MPH 81 120 0.52 0.39 689 1240 = FAIL
25 MPH 63 56 0.43 0.22 511 688 = FAIL

the fuel evap stuff, thats just some thin rubber tubes that connect the fuel tank vents to the carbon cannister up front. those hoses rot out and need replacing eventually.

your timing on a LH2.2 car is set by rotating the distributor, you check the timing with an old fashion inductive timing strobe light thats clipped to the #1 spark plug. if its that far off, you probably should check the timing belt first and make sure that all the dots line up right when you have rotated things around to where they go (the timing belt drives both the intermediate shaft that drives the distributor, and the camshaft that works the valves).

when you replace the catalytic converter, use a new O2 sensor too.
