1989 740GL Rear Tail Lights / Tail lamps not working
Hi there,
I have a 1989 Volvo 740GL that I just replaced the entire light assembly on the Rear Passenger side of the vehicle. I replaced the bulbs in most of the lights (brake, back up, etc) and I also replaced the bulbs for the turn signals. The turn signal on the Driver's side was working but I replaced it just to be sure of a new bulb, and then it stopped working. I have no idea if the Passenger's side turn signal ever worked (this was my son's car and I'm fixing it up). Now, I have front turn signals working, but not either of the back turn signals - I understand that the fuses are supposed to be linked to front and back, is that right? I can't seem to find any reason why just the rear turn signals aren't working but the fronts are. When I have my emergency flashers on, the fronts work but the rears don't. All of my lights otherwise are working. I have running lights, brake lights and backup lights all working just fine. I've tried jiggling the actual thing that the bulb screws into because I thought maybe it didn't have a good connection, but that didn't do anything. Any ideas of what else I can do? I've done searching for this, maybe I'm not coming up with the right search terms, but I can't seem to find anything that answers my question. I apologize if this has already been answered - but I would appreciate my being pointed towards it!! Thanks! |
