1993 940 stalls when hot /no start
Gotta '93 non turbo 940 stalls when hot, it's something electric/ignition related,Rex Regina I believe, square ignition coil driver side, the wire that goes from the distributor to the coil is the problem...car runs fine but if u move this wire at the bottom of the distributor the engine dies, twist or unplug/replug and the car will start and run but once hot it stalls on its own and messing with the wire doesn't work as well...have replaced dist. Cap and rotor as well as the cable, tried 3 diff cables(cheap orielly, import direct(better orielly), and one from a j/y car tho it was not original Volvo brand wire) and all have the same symptom...any help...pierce?

if wiggling the HV wire kills the engine, then yeah, its a bad wire. or the coil or distributor cap are flakey.
me, I'd probably replace the distributor cap and rotor, and ALL the spark plug wires, and put new plugs in while I was at it, before i even bothered to go any farther.
I have zero experience troubleshooting regina/rex systems, never seen one, they weren't sold in California.

Well changed the cap and wire again,no difference...then i noticed the wire running behind that had the heat coat coming off...wiggled this wire car started and ran..wiggled while running, engine died...crankshaft position sensor, the wire was fubar...changed it out and I'm running again can wiggle all wires, no die!
