240 shock absorbers 1988

the factory shocks were Boge/Sachs, but the Boge/Sachs sold now in the replacement market are an inferior made-in-Mexico shock.
Bilsteins are the best... the touring/TC/whatever they call thjem now grade for a daily driver, and if you like things sporty and/or have lowering springs or whatever, the Sports/HD/whatever versions. best if front and rear are balanced and the same.
The adjustable Kona shocks set to the softest setting are a pretty good sports ride too, anything stiffer than softest is too stiff unless you're tuning a race suspension for track use.
Pretty much everything else (KYB, Munroe, etc) is disposable junk that will wear out in 20,000 miles.
