244 4speed to 4speed w/overdrive swap?

i have a 76 244 4speed and would like to swap in the overdrive trans from annewer model, are the bolt patterns and splinesthe same? is the tanny the same size? do i have to cahnge the drive shaft? and where would i have to hook up the relay and selinoid for the overdrive?

Not too sure... 1976 still had the B20 engine, didn't it?
Bolt patterns could be different.
Driveshaft will be shorter, you need the new driveshaft as well.
You'll have to provide a switch to hookup the relay and solenoid.
