84 240 Coil to Ignition Control Wire
There are two white wires running in between the coil & Ignition Control Unit. In the area under engine & by alternator they appear to become one wire. This wires insulation mat'l has worn away causing shorting. Closer examination, it looks like the wire may actually be two circuits since there is wire wrapped around an inturnal insulated wire. Is this true?
By my poor Hayes manual I do see one circuit going to a fuel relay & the other white wire to the coil.

My chiltons shows a white/red going from the coil to the fuel pump relay, and a white going from the coil, to both the Ignition module and the spark control ignition module. It also shows a black coming off the white that goes to the tach. and the dizzy. I can't say for certian how it works, but I thought I'd share what my chiltons shows. Hope it helps
