88 740 Sway Bar End Links Question

Hi all,

One of my end links broke yesterday on my 88 740GLE wagon, so I'm looking to replace both. My car has the links with pin-style attachments at top and bottom, and the only option from IPD & FCP seems to be the URO parts, which I'm not excited about. I live in pothole-covered NYC and I suspect the URO's won't last more than a year or so.

My question is: Has anyone found a good alternative? From the look of it, this style of end links is used in many Ford/GM cars. Maybe there's a good quality part one of you has confirmed works well? Or should I just suck it up and buy the UROs?

Thanks...

Found alternate sway bar links...

Well, didn't get any responses here, but I picked up a set of Energy Suspension "8.1925R" links from Autozone, also available on Amazon:

The hardware is noticeably more robust than the similar URO part and they include tougher polyurethane bushings instead of rubber. They are slightly longer, but only about 1-2mm, don't think it's enough to over-stress the sway bar. Once installed, front end vibration (actually vibration all over the car) at highway speed has improved considerably and steering is stiffer around turns at speed.

Hope this helps someone!
