91 940Turbo low compression (help)
hello guys new to the forums.
Well i bought a 1991 940 Turbo with a 2.3L 8V turbo engine. the car was smoking thought it was the head, got it to a shop and got it checked they rebuild it anyways, and got it back on still smoking and got it off again when we noticed it was the turbo, got new turbo and got the car on its timing marks and everything and finished but the car wont start. Gives 40 lbs Compression on piston #1 #2 90lbs #3 30lbs #4 45lbs i dont know what it could be since they told me the head wa rebuild i didn't think it was the head (valves) so thought of piston rings... any ideas? ant info additional info or if u want me to post pics or videos or anything ask OH BTW the timing belt gets out of position should it be fault tensioner ? |
Since, i heard on some places that this cars dont bend valves when out of timing..

Get your guys to put the timing belt on correctly. Then check compression again. I'm assuming you had professionals do the head work...it sounds to me as though they aren't terribly proficient at getting the car in time. They need to go back to square one...

is there something tricky about it?
