Drove the 740 Turbo for the first time today!
Got the new turbo in, new oil, filter, fixed some splits in the intake hoses....she cranked right up
Let it idle for bit....found a leak in the OIL IN hose, replaced the hose, and took her for a spin.
Got it up to 65 in no time...
Got a question, on the boost gauge, where is it supposed to be @ Idle, and @ 65 mph in OD?
It never gets into the yellow area....IT feels really powerful right up until it gets to the Yellow then goes back down...Id like to keep it well into the yellow. Yellow is good right? Red is bad?
We are running 20w50 oil in it. Is that too thick? it is like 50 today.

At idle the guage should be pretty low. I don't pay attention to the colors.
Did you just sway the waste gate from yours?
Are you saying the turbo backs off to soon?

Lets say the Gauge is 180 degrees, side to side.
At idle it is about 30 degrees, and NEVER gets past 90 degrees. 90 degrees, which is straight up, is where the yellow bar starts.
