940 no spark at coil..
My wifes 940 died while it was warming up at her friends. I diagnosed it as no spark from the coil.
The coil was leaking for a while so I figured that was it and put a new one in. still no spark from the coil.
Pulled the crank sensor and the wires were toast, probably shorting out. put a new one in, still no spark.
Has 12v at the coil, I checked the cable end of the ignition module with the meter to a pinout/table I found online and it seemed OK , but I still cant get the .3 volt AC reading on the white/red wire that goes to the #1 on the coil.
I have ordered a new Ignition module for it and am going back tomorrow to try again. are there any other parts to the ignition circuit that would keep the coil from firing? I just want to make sure I'm not missing something stupid...
Forgot to say that it had a code 1-4-3 on the port #6 of the diagnostic block #1 .. the chart says its the knock sensor but I changed that last winter and may not have cleared the code.. I cleared it before I changed the coil and it's been 1-1-1 since then

Slapped in a new ignition module and it fired up! It was still flooded from all the cranking yesterday now I'll probably have to do the starter...
could a failed coil take out the ignition module? I'm still kicking myself for not changing it when I saw the dust collocting on the oil leaking out of it
