960 control arm

I am a new member in New Mexico. My 1996 volvo 960 has about 50kMi on replaced bushings. I considered that new arms might be a better route than replacing bushings again. The problem is I cannot find parts that fit...Meyle list part numbers 516 050 9601 and 2 for this application. When these were received, it was apparent that they would not fit due to the width [60mm] of the part which carries the ball joint must fit in a 40 mm recess of the knuckle.. Since then, I have not been able to find the correct new part except from a salvage yard [Ebay item 202159906350]. Local Volvo and many Ebay vendors will not check dimensions...the catalog is correct so nothing more can be done. I have ordered new bushings from Taska, but would prefer a new arms. IPD says they have no new arms for that model and year. FCP simply restates the Meyle part number. Can anybody HELP with a correct part number.
Thanks
lawrence

Thank you Dytha99 for the reference. The control arm for sale is so-called Series One 960 which used a strut in the middle of the arm. The Series Two used a control arm more like an A-arm. According to IPD, the Series Two was "transitional"; hence, they have no new arms, only bushings. Hope the photo that compares Meyle part and part from the car makes to this reply.

yeah, those series 2 960's have enough changes that us 240/740/940 folks can't really be of much help. the series 1's were relatively close to 940's in many ways.

not a fan of Meyle parts, btw, they are a reboxer of generic parts, often fairly low grade.

my Volvo VADIS parts catalog says the lower arms are NLA from Volvo, but gives a 'control arm repair kit', 274451 (left), 274452 (right), plus ball join kit 270477 (2 required). the drawing of the repair kit shows the rear bushing and vertical bolt, the front bushing plus pivot bolt, a nut where the ball joint attaches, and it shows the actual control arm but doesn't make it clear if that arm is included. hmm, dealer website shows complete arm. $$$.

see here, for the dealer drawings... https://www.volvopartswebstore.com/p...52/274451.html

Thank you for the reply. It happens that the VADIS page was posted by Ebay member Kline Motor Sports [162625000563]; but unlike most Ebay sales, this seller actually responded to my question re dimensions at the ball joint end of part 274451: answer 60 mm; hence, no fitment to my poor 960 which has been on jack stands for 4 weeks. As you stated, the volvo part is iron only, no bushings and no ball joint...big bucks.
The part from salvage operator Daddy's Auto Parts Ebay [202159906350] is 40 mm at the ball joint. It is listed with OEM part number 2744522 which is slightly different by the repeated terminal digit, but then 2774452 960 is listed as an alternative. This is my first Volvo, although I have had several SAABs; in the course of working on cars and motorcycles for 60 years, never encountered such confusion re a common replacement item. Hope to press in new bushings once parts are received from Taska.

those 274451/274452 rebuild kits explicitly contain all the bushing and other parts I listed, its kit #3 in this diagram.

The Ball Joint Kit (#1 in the above drawing) is $48 from a discounting dealer.... so really, not bad.
