bad pinging after rear main seal replacement??
 

I just got done doing the wifes rear main seal on her 940 and now it pings on acceleration. I did not line up the flexplate to the crank as it didn't have any thing to locate it (pin/key), so I assumed it did not matter... will it run and idle with the flexplate in the wrong position? I dread the thought of pulling the tranny again.. :mad:

Any other symptoms, like sluggish acceleration, uneven idle, etc? If not, put some premium gas, see what happens...

well... it was 12.5 degrees off... I checked through the starter hole and no dice... so back out she came..n all done and running fine now.. =P
