A Better Way to Hardwire 240 Tailights!
 

Hey everyone! I’ve made a small but powerful discovery! For $15 or less in wire, and another $30 in sockets you can have a VERY solid build that works better than both soldering and using spade connectors at the tabs on the original sockets.

Step 3: Line up the socket. Push one side down first using the groove in the light housing, then use a little pressure to pop the other side into place. Twist in accordance with directions on the back of the socket.

the final result! You can now crimp and connect these wires to their designated terminals. That will take some figuring out and thankfully many others before me have showed how- so watch the guides above!!

These sockets will make it easier to keep everything tidy, they are much more effect than methods like soldering and using spade connectors, and they are much more sturdy!

Notice I placed the 5W and 21/5W sockets in different positions compared to the OEM slots because this is my personal preference. Hopefully this helps some of you when deciding what to do about those annoying tail lights!
I will likely make a video and keep up a long term update. This method has proven to be very simple and effective. Using these sockets I see absolutely no reason to ever go back the the circuit board.

I saw this once before and plan to undertake it in the next month or so.
