connecting rods...
 

so i have a 1984 240 gl b230f, in the process of a rebuild due to rear main seal failing causing rod #1 to fail, anyways im thinking of turbocharging in the future so i want to put the right internals. I was planning on putting H beam connecting rods 152mm rated at 800 hp 9k rpm, i want an experts take on this.
Also when it comes to rod bearings thats where i lack some knowledge i see a pair on ipd but says for 1985-

If someone doesnt mind leading me in the right direction of rod bearings, maybe even performance ones

turbocharging an NA engine has more considerations than rod strength. How much boost are you thinking of doing? turbo blocks differ from NAs in two key ways 1) turbos typically have 8 to 8.5:1 compression, NAs will be 9.5 or more. Turbo blocks will have added oil passages including jets to spray the underside of the pistons to cool them. If all you want to do is run a light turbo say 7 PSI (.5 BAR) then you wouldn't be stressing the rods and can probably manage the added heat with typical turbo bolt ons.

I See, so basially if I was to get a pair of used b230f rods from a newer b230 that would be enough for light boost, i have an 84 with M rods
