D24t Transmission Options?
 

Hi all, I'm starting the build on my '83 245 soon and I don't know what I'm going to do about a transmission.

I have a complete (and very rusty) jurbodiesel 760 donor with a healthy d24t and mounts from a diesel 240, but I don't want to use the slushbox ZF22.I know I can use the original trans, but I'm striking out on finding a bellhousing. I'd also like 5 gears.

Has anyone adapted one of these engines to a more common 5/6 speed?
