i got a 91 940se and looking to change the locks and ign cylinder and trunk. i found a set of door locks and ign cyl and trunk locks for a 98 960 does anyone know if they will fit?

 

I don't think they will fit.

Correct me if in wrong but doesn't your car have tilt steering column?

If so then I think only 940SE and 760 is the same not sure about the 960 though.

 

on the ign switch I just want to change the cylinder. i have the high security key and ebay shows the high secuity keys. all the tumblers broke in the cylinders and had to take them all out so i can start my car. guess i should take my ign cyl out and compare to whats on ebay

 

The 940SE setup is different from the normal 740 setup. The key item is if it has tilt is it totally different.

So yes you might want to get the cylinder out and compare. The last one we had to do drill everything out.

 

to take the cyl out i used pliers and grabed the key and turned. the key didnt break, tumblers got all messed up but took them out anyways. will follow up later. i think the door locks are dif too.

 

Why don't you just change the ignition? You'll have two keys. I had the same situation with '91 SE and I had two keys.
