Default dual square or dual round headlight setup on '88 240

Hello, was wondering if anyone knows if a dual square or dual round setup will physically fit on an '88 with the giant yellow plastic headlight? I know I'll have to redo the wiring and some of the mounting brackets, was just wondering if it's even possible

the round headlight early 240's I've seen were single lamped. the big TV screen headlights are 13" wide, 8" high on the inboard side, 7.5" high on the outboard side. Standard round sealed beam lights are 7" diameter, so two wide would take at LEAST 14", so that couldn't fit anyhow. and I think rectangular standard sealed beams are like 8x5.5 or something, so you coudln't get those two wide OR two high in that space. ah, there's a 6.5 by 3.9 in size, those would JUST fit 2-across in that space.

however, I think the early 80s 240's with the dual square headlights had a different hood and grill, and probably turnsignal.

It's been done quite often. In the US, the new front end came out in 86. To convert to single 7" rounds, dual rounds, dual rectangle or single squares...at the very least you need to swap the front fenders. To make the look complete, you need the head lights, appropriate headlamp buckets, an appropriate grill, hood and one more thing. The 85- cars had hoods that were lower in the center portion as it went up to meet the cowl by the wipers. 86+ were the reverse...center portion goes up to meet the cowl. So, swapping the hood means it doesn't quite look right unless you cut out a cowl/louver portion from an older car and weld it in.
Dual rounds...

Single rounds or the European squares...

yeah, I think it would be a lot easier to get the same vintage euro lights and put them in.

Thanks everyone who posted. Yeh, was really just wanting a new look while improving visibility, but yesterday one of my crappy plastic headlight lenses just fell off , so I guess replacement is kinda imperative now. I'll probably do the Euro-conversion, but they're kinda hard to find right now. I saw an older post on a forum about using Volvo truck headlight buckets (supposedly drop right in) and 7" round sealed beams, but I haven't seen anyone actually do it.

Half way down the page are the e-codes...looks like $320 gets you everything but I would physically call them. Pretty sure you'll get a better price buying all 6 pieces at once.
