Electrical Help, Regulator? Fuses?

Electrical Help, Regulator? Fuses?
Okay, so as I said in my new member intro(not that anyone actually reads those), my younger brother recently had an '86 240DL bought for him(for $150, blue on blue), but it doesn't run. Its in otherwise good condition. Its been sitting less than a year, the battery leads have some corrotion and its obviously dead. I'm going to replace it and see what happens.
But the lady that it was purchased from said it was looked at and they said the regulator was bad. I'm assuming thats the electrical regulator. So, where is it and how do I replace it? Any of you guys or gals got one laying around you want to sell me? (did a search with nothing of help)
Further more, do these things have fuses? Where the hell are they? I'm driving an 86 Mazda RX-7 and those are supposed to be ALOT more complicated. But damnit I couldn't find them. Lol.
Is there a site I can find information on different Volvo models? DL doesn't mean diesel does it?
Thanks all for the pointers.

RE: Electrical Help, Regulator? Fuses?
DL was a model of the car Mostly consisting of trim packages and wheels.
The regulator could be either the Voltage regulator/Brush pack in the back of the Alt.
But it could also be a Fuel pressure regulator. Which is mechanical and is located on the end of the Fuel Rail it has a vaccum line going to it.
Does the car run at all?
Or did she say it was dead from a power issue?
Try jumping it and see if it runs but runs crappy.

Hey thanks! Much needed info. I'm not sure which regulator she said it was. I have yet to talk to her directly. I'll ask though. No I didn't try jumping it yet though. I plan on trying, or just buying a new cheapo battery on Friday sense as of now I have the day off. I want to get this at least running by the 30th of this month for my bro's birthday. Haha he really wanted a Vovlo. I snapped a few pics w/ my phone. I tried the key but it was completely dead and its still at their house cause the tires are chewed.
So IF it is indeed one of the regulators, I'll either have to replace the alternator or the one at the end of the fuel line right? Pluse probably the battery. It looked like a new Interstate but it might be bowing on the side. Couldnt tell if it was my imagination.

The fuse box is located in the A-pillar when you open the door. Just by the bottom of the dash by the door.
You will see a cover with a turn clip at the bottom of the panel turn and lift.
TIP:Note and remove all fuse and clean or replace. Also clean fuse box. They are known to corrode.
If the regulator in the Alt is bad you can just replace the Brushpack/Regulator.

Look at the voltage regulators.

Look for fuel presure regulator.

Not sure exactly which package it is but I know it is not Diesel.
It should be drivable. But for how long not sure if it is the Voltage regulator.(Hopefully you don't live to far away)
Also forgot to tell you try pulling the Vaccum line off the fuel pressure regulator and see if there is gas indside it. If there is then it is bad.
If the Voltage regulator is bad leave everything off and drive it in the Daylight. You should get a little bit out of it.

Okay so I got it started by just changing the battery and fuses. Then drove it to wash it, then on the way home it just died in the middle of the road. Pushed it, then had it towed. Getting it back tomarrow(my bro's bday; cutting it damn close). So far they've said it was a timing issue. Teeth missing, something something. I'll have more info tomarrow. The gauge cluster still needs to be replaced though.
