can someone explain the bells to me please? what are they called and what are they there for

I have heard of the bells before, they call that in spanish a "governador" a governator in english :S something to limit ur speed

 

What road conditions where you driving in when you reached top speed? I don't know if it has something to do with the problem, but mine almost got to 100mph the other day..... had to stop because there was a toll booth in front.... And when I say near 100mph it was like 98 or 99... it almost touched the 100... but.. had to stop... aaaaawwww!!! I thought the limit was 130mph in the Volvo.... and I've never heard of bells eather.

My father had a 740 turbo intercooler manual and it got over 120mph in the express way...... YEAH!! That is how I fell in love with Volvo...!!!!! and no bells to be heard of.

 

Well lucky, mine got to 95, and mine is stock, your's have like 2 performance upgrades or so, so :P

 

Yeah! All in-motor upgrades...... but, speed limit comes from the computer (that is what I've learned, don't know if in Volvo is the same). I've never tinkered with the computer.

And.... that was before any of my motor upgrades.... compleatley stock! Except well.. the side turn signals!! hehehe

That is why I asked if road conditions could have affected your top speed. I reached the speed at great (excellent) road conditions... sunny, tail wind and a hot, cement road...

You should try it again, in good weather conditions!!! See how it affects at all.

 

Well i tried that in "el corredor" you know what that is, so .....a highway, a big empty highway =]

 

Question....... Did they had to drill the trunk to put the spoiler or did they used the pins like the original?
