Default fuel pump

Hello I need a new in tank fuel pump and I was wondeing if the in tank fuel pump if thats the high or low pressure fuel pump? I already have the chassis pump new but I don't remember if that was high or low pressure. All I know is the chassis pump cost me more money thanks.

I'm not sure it's really a matter of pressure as much as it is volume. The operating pressure is listed as 43psi which isn't much at all. The in-tank pump is described as supplying extra fuel during hot weather and/or high altitudes. Some have stated you'll never know if it isn't working unless it's a hot summer day and your driving in the mountains, but when I replaced my main fuel pump I went ahead and changed the in-tank one too just to be on the safe side. Like you've noticed it's a little less expensive then the main pump and it only takes about 20 to 30 minutes to change it, not long at all, well worth it in my opinion.

I wanted to ask, I got the new in take fuel pump installed but the original one looked clean and not dirty, is that normal?>

Sure is normal. That's a good sign that you don't have any crud in your fuel tank. So did you spill any fuel on the trunk carpet or am I the only one that happens to??
