Heater hoses: how to access them?
Hi everyone,
To get my son's '83wagon ready for some travel, I am replacing all the belts and hoses (among a long list of other things [:@]). The two big radiator hoses are easy. However, the two block-to-firewall hoses are tough. Even with a good light, I can't even see the engine end of the hoses. Does anyone have any experience with this? Should I pull the intake bellows and maybe the throttle body for better access? Or should I just replace the radiator hoses and call it cool? Monty |
RE: Heater hoses: how to access them?
Heater hoses are a real pain to replace. There are two other heater hoses -- attached to the heater control valve. Seems to me if you replace the heater hoses at the engine then you still have a weak link. I would replace all four or none of them. Mine are original and I guess I'll wait until one swells or bursts.
