Hi im new to the forum i have to bore you with the story, sorry... just purchased a 88 740gle from a friend of mine and the inside of the car is completely missing everything was torn apart by his friends and drunkards. Now main thing i need is does anyone have a guide or some pics or any advice on changeing the rear door locks i mean the the mechanism under the door lock **** and the long silver wire that movesthe little mechanism connecting to it its all ripped and bent out of shape.

When I ran into similair problems on other cars, I ran down to the local pull-a-part. That way you can find how it works, how its suppose to be, get any parts you need, and figure out how everything comes apart and goes together, and if you break something trying to take it off, you've learned not to do that again. If you just need to get into the doors and thats it, a Chiltons manual would be a good place to start. Whenever I buy a vehicle the first thing I do is buy a repair manual. Hope that helps
