HID headlight conversion

Do any of you know if it is possible to convert a 1985 740 to the 1990 740 headlights and then to convert those to HID? Or is there some easier way?

Sure it's possible, BUT:

To be TRULY EFFECTIVE, the reflectors need to be optimized for the HID Bulbs.

If you want that intense blue-white "look", I recommend buying Silverstar bulbs. They are a darn sight cheaper as well!

If you have extra money, buy new Volvo headlamp assemblies. That way the reflected light will be maximized!

You could probably covert to the '90 style OK...might require the plastic support pieces...junkyard is the best bet.
