Default Instrument Cluster Lights

The instrument cluster lights on my '82 244 stopped working a couple night ago. I took out the cluster to try to see what is going on with them. The bulbs aren't burnt. I can't figure out why they won't turn on. Aren't they somehow hooked into the lights for the clock and the lights on the center pannel? I'm guessing they are becuase those stopped working as well. What would be causing them all to not turn on?

Have you accidentally turned the panel lights rheostat down?

Nope it is all the way up. I think it migth be the problem though. The lights aren't getting enough voltage (about .3 volts) and I don't know what else would be causing it to not get voltage.

Have you checked to see if the fuse is OK?

My rheostat stopped working shortly after I bought my car, I had to run a new switch but ended up with a much cooler looking on/off **** instead of messing around with dimming.
