Interior Dimensions

First post here -- I'd like to say hello & thank all owners who can provide a little assistance.....

I am looking to find either measurement of Left or Right instrument stalk(s) pictured (height as well).

A picture with caliper or ruler would be greatly appreciated & thanks for taking the time to read this.

What car? Year and model would be helpful...

Hi Lev,

I am actually looking to get dimensions for the symbols & I believe most years & models are compatible. That said I prefer having (wagon-type) wiper & (cruise-type) signal stalk dimensions.

Any help of course is more than appreciated & thanks for your response.

240 and 740 and 940 all have different stalk controls.

wagons and sedans within a model family are identical except for the rear wiper selector. the oldest 240's are probably different than later 240s.

Hi Pierce,

I do appreciate your insight here. Suppose the 240 model is what I am seeking & later type would make the most sense.

Hoping someone here has time to share a dimension or two -- PM also works for me if that is preferred.

Thanks again,

Mo

Thanks Pierce,

Seems hard sending a car to the scrapper IMHO, hopefully some fond memories other than the wet weather & it's effects.

I should know....living in Seattle since childhood has given me sympathy for rain --

Best,

Mo

it was an 87 we bought new and had at least 500,000 miles on it. both our kids drove it while in college.

Seems a fitting ending --

Measurements are:

#1 10mm wide, 6mm tall.

#2 10mm wide, 5mm tall

#3 9mm wide, 9.5mm tall

#4 9mm wide, 6.75mm tall

#1 and #2 measurements were taken off a 1990 240 sedan stalk with #3 and #4 taken off my 1993 240 wagon. All measurements were taken with vernier calipers. Hope this helps.

Hi MSGG,

Highly appreciate your time & attention to detail :) -- Thanks for doing this.

Wonderful garage BTW -- I am sure your '92 lifted-wagon gets lots of attention....

Have a great weekend,

Mo
