I haven't been able to check any codes,
1. because i can't really get it to anywhere without it dying
2. i'm not sure exactly how to go about it.
And i'm EXTREMELY low on funds. I know you need a certin machine for it and i know that our Advanced Auto Parts Store does not have the proper one because my friend works there. Where the temp censor located at?

I already put in another little elay for the fuel pump. And when it dies you can tell it's losing power gradually then it just dies and the dash board with all the lights lights up like a damn chrismas tree.

If it dies gradually then it sounds like a fuel problem.

Good call tech, it very well could be the main fuel pump.

If you hit the pump with a hammer when you're trying to start the car, not too hard, the pump should start buzzing away and the car will start.

Reading and erasing codes is free on your car with no tools needed, except 1 good finger and 1 good eye! Do some research on reading DTC's or trouble codes.

How would you go about checking the codes with a finger and a good eye? Please fill in the blanks for me....?

after replacing the intank fuel pump and the main fuel pump and filter, and the fuel pump relay. It runs. It was going for a good half hour last night.

Also. There were no codes at all. the only one was already cleared and that was 2-3-2.

You're probably getting good at replacing parts, but you need to learn how to diagnose.

When it doesn't start, you need to make sure you're gettting spark to the cylinders, fuel pressure to the injectors, and the injectors are getting the signal to open.

It's starting! It's starting great. And then it's also dying just as good as it starts. We had it run great last night took it around the block for about 20 minutes, the night before that it was running in the drive way for a good half hour. Last night after we took it for a spin we went back home and let it sit for about and hour. And i went back out and started it and it started. The i got in it to go to a friends house and it died when i went to flip a u turn. It just died. It was like someone just turned the key in the ignition. I was told it could be the ignition amp. all i know is that it's located next to the battery on the frame. To me that sounds like the problem. I mean if it's just dying the way it has been. I know we could also be dealing with multiple problems........

So i think that the best problem with it has occured. And it's actually fun to drive when it happens. When you have the headlights on and you take a right turn it stalls sometimes. And when the lights are off and you flip the brights on it stalls. Any ideas? I was thinking amp reader( i think thats what it's called) on the back of the alternator. Or maybe a bad connection in the wiring in the steering collum and it's not tilt wheel. We already checked to see if a wire was being pinched off....and from what we see there isn't one.
