Default Front end conversion

When rummaging thru the junkyard today I saw a wrecked 780 coupe. Front end was intact though and I do like the front look. Any ideas if the front would fit without too many probs on an 88 740 or is the front frame completely different. I have done front end conversions of other cars before but it helps when they have the same frame rails.

Tempting. But I don't think it'd be possible due to 780's completely different front end, like fenders, hood, etc.

I understand that I would take everything off basicly the whole front clip. What im wondering if the front frame rails would be similar or the same so that everythign might just bolt up pretty well. Im sure there would be some fabrication. I did a conversion on an old Elcamino I had to a Cutlass Supreme front and a Kia Sephia to Spectra swap but frame work was the same so it was pretty much an unbolt and rebolt the new. Just was thinking to have something different.

I'd measure the inner fenders before you do anything. They achieved that low hood line by lowering the sheetmetal and inner fenders must have been reduced in height.
I believe these cars were low volume build (ie, lots of hand finishing), supervised by Bertone.

Regards, Andrew.
