Loosen AC belt 83 244DL

Hello to the Volvosphere,

I am having troubles in loosening my a/c compressor belt on my 83 244 DL Manual. I believe it is the B23 motor. The real reason I need to move the belt is to replace the alternator/v-belts, so I assume I'll have to remove the other belts to get at them. I'm putting a different alternator on there b/c there is a terrible squeal from that area no matter how tight the belts are and the battery is not charging while the car is running = replace alternator/belts. If that's not it, I'll go to the water pump and so on until the squealing goes away.

Hokay, so, I have removed the power steering pump/belt to have a better view of A/C comprsr, but there don't seem to be any obvious tensioner bolts. Haynes repair manual is unclear about where they are (picture is small and grainy) and compressor is covered in 1/4 inch of road grime (just got the car for cheep).

Can Tech or anyone else tell me where this bolt(s) is? so I won't have to keep taking random bolts out until the compressor simply falls out of the bottom of the car?

What say you?

Which style compressor is on the car?
There is 2 types 1 is a But rectangle looking one that is pretty tall. It is called a york compressor.
The other type is pretty small and round. If it is small and round it has 2 bolts for the adjusters.
If it is a york compressor then the crank pulley is the belt adjustment.
But you can turn the engine over with a socket and ratchet and use a screwdriver to walk the belt off and the new one on.

Thanks tech, I figured it out a few days ago after spending all afternoon trying wiggle the big ol' compressor around, I read in the repair manual something about taking apart the driveshaft pulley and the light went on. It runs "great" now. (running at all is great)!
