any ideas guys or am i stressing for nothing ???

Check you haven't inadvertently bent any brackets etc holding filter or pump in place, if they touch the body they are very noisy.
Also, it could just be actually working correctly now, not fighting severe restriction from an old filter. Not uncommon for new filters to make the pump sound different.

no worries. you can navigate all the boards via the Forums pull down menu on the top Nav bar next to the home icon. Free ride to the 240 board for more views and excellent advice.
