Odometer stop working???
 

My odometer stop reading on my 1990 240, and was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to what might be the problem. Possibly a new cable?

Does your speedometer still work?

No speedo cable on a '90. Electronic signal from the differental pick-up into a three-pin connector at the back of the speedo head. That drives the odo motor. Often the problem turns out to be a broken odo gear.

Just had the tranny rebuilt forgot to say that. So it maybe?

Blue Good you hit all the main points I needed to know, my speedo and odometer don't work. I bought a spare instrument cluster which doesn't work in my car either so its gear may be broken too, but for 25 bucks im going to take it apart and see. Ill let you know.
