Problem with bulb failure sensor

hello, so i had a problem with my bulb failure sensor, mine is white, so i just wanted to bypass it. I used these instructions to do it but these are for red one http://www.davebarton.com/pdf/bulbfailure86-93.pdf but i checked all the connections and numbers and letters on the bottom of the relay everything was the same except for 54s on red one, 54 on mine, but i have not found any other method to do it so i did it anyway. And now i can turn the ignition with my brake pedal :D and im sure that soldering i did is good .Any ideas? Maybe someone has a diagram for the white one? Part number for mine: 1362284

what year/model car is this?

ah, Dave's Volvo Page - Volvo Relays suggests the white one is found in some .eu cars. oops. not sure I have the wiring diagram for those.

What problem are you having? Wouldn't be easier to get another relay?

yes its a euro 1991 940. My low beams and brake lights stopped working so instead of the original part which i see is tend to fail, i wanted to modify... But red and white sensors are different by one connector... :(

Not aware that the relay can cause the low beams to fail, rather doubt it... The brake lights, yes. And the relays seem to last around 20 yrs at least in the US models but I doubt non US models would have a different relay with a different performance.

And I find a 1991 European 240 wiring diagram :)

so.... connect pints 6,2,7 for low beams
connect 15 to 13 for left tail
connect 14 to 12 for right tail
connect 11 to 9 and 10 for brake lights

Fixed. For some reason then i connect S-5 (this is extra brake light which does not exist in my car) and press brake pedal it turned on ignition. So i just unsolder it and everything works.

yeah, pin 5 is tied to some sort of electronic component (drawn as a box with a transistor symbol), I dunno quite what thtat does.

the bulk of the sensor works by counter-wound coils, if the current in the left and right circuit is unbalanced, then the magnetic reed microswitch in the middle closes...
