side mirrors

Default side mirrors

has anyone taken apart a side mirror? is there anything in there to 'tighten' the mirror part of it? my passenger side has the shakes....

That usually means your mirror lens is about to jettison itself from the backplate! I have sent at least a couple flying...

I suggest CAREFULLY peeling it off and using something like gorilla glue to fasten it back in place. It is very easy to instantly shatter the glass pulling too hard. Maybe use a hairdryer and get the adhesive soft first.

really? oh crap this doesn't sound good.. i put some scrap rubber bicycle tire tube folded over in there to try to stop the vibration.. but it's not perfect by any means...
my drivers' side seemed to have been gorilla glued at one point...
