Did you check FCPgroton.com and Ipdusa.com?

If all else fails make your own.

mornin' Tech! How's things?

I tried both of those sites and a few others last night....no dice. I've got everything new for the tails except those damn connectors. I guess I'll just dremel the tabs and use spade connectors.

I have once more avenue I'm waiting to hear from.....dealership parts department... duh duh DUUUUUUHHHHHH!

Morning back. Things so so since laid off!! LOL

What you might be able to do is cut the wires a little before the plug then solder new wires on and heat shrink them good. This way it will only cost a little bit of wire and solder.

laid off?! That's BS, I'm really sorry to hear that Tech. Any prospects for new employment?

See, the problem I have with the connectors is that they don't exist. The previous owner cut them out, tore out the P C circuit boards and hard wired a bunch of after market bulb sockets to all the leads. Then screwed them all to the back of the tail lights with wood screws and busted all the plastic. I bought new tails, P C Circuits, and sockets but I can't find the connectors anywhere....

At any rate. I don't have connectors to leave on the circuit board to cut wires from and shrink wrap new leads to (re-reading that to make sure it made sense....nope! Perfect) What I was going to do was strategically dremel slots in the plastic tabs those connectors are supposed to snap onto and use spade connectors for leads. I like the idea of soldering interim wires to the P C board better though....that way I can find my own plugs and connectors at Radio Shack or something. Thanks for the idea!

Yes it is BS!!!! But I guess being the highest paid has its draw backs.

Looking at 2 things at the moment thinking about what I want to do. Learn an entire new car or stay Volvo either way I will be cutting my salary in half compaired to last year.

Did you try a junk yard to steal the harness out of?

That epically blows goats. Again, sorry to hear that.

I got a couple buddy's in the auto industry that say Toyota is pretty good about being able to keep their staff. Can't imagine another vehicle outside of Volvo I'd like to learn more about!

I raded all the junk yards in my neck of the woods (7 of them anyway) and of the six 240s I saw five where wagons. The other one was gutted.

But, that gives me an idea. There's a Volvo yard in Wisconsin somewhere.....completely forgot about it. Guy's got 7 or 8 acres of Volvo's and Mercedes's.

Cool

Yah im not sure the one place I would have to leanr Mercedes,MBW,Audi, and Prosche. Or stick to Volvo and learn a little bit about Mini Coopers.

Im still trying to figure between both of them.

Got the tail lights working. Signifiacantly better than they were. I had to solder new leads to the connection because I couldn't find the connectors but that's alright. Got it on the first try too!

well....SOB if that stupid PC board didn't fail on me again. Brand new, not even a year old and the tabs have worn through to start shorting out the fuse.

So, I'm hardwiring... Curious though, what are the two extra bulbs for in the sedan tails anyway? I've got the tail lights, turns signal, reverse, and tail light brake light combo. I'm guessing the fifth is the rear fog (that doesn't work in this car anyway) but wth is that sixth one for?!?

anyone know of a diagram?
