Tail lights

Howdy! So my tail lights (both sides) aren't working properly, whenever I brake, the turning signals won't work...

I checked the circuit board and the plug has a fried prong (both sides)... Does this mean I should replace the wires, the circuit board, or the set? Also, what do you think caused this short circuit?

Thanks for any help!

Also, this is a 1991 Volvo 740 (non turbo). And by fried, I meant burnt (on the wire side, not the circuit board).

I read through some of the previous posts and it may seem this could be caused by a bad ground.. Anyone know where this ground could be located? Thanks again!

I would start with the circuit board, since they are only $20 from discountautolamps (i believe) on ebay.

Oh, and the ground wire is located right next the the taillight, some are different, but if I remember correctly it's about 3-6 inches in towards the middle of the trunk.

Thanks! Does anyone have a good website for various Volvo parts? I've been checking ipd and they seem to have fair prices... Any recommendations (especially with regards to lights) would kindly be appreciated. Thanks!

IPD tends to be more expensive than FCP Groton on most parts. As for the lights I would try Lamps and Lenses they tend to be the cheapest. FYI their technical and customer support is rather poor but you shouldn't need it anyways.
