Default Turbo silicone radiator hoses

My lower hose is crunchy. I was thinking about replacing it with a silicone hose. I've found the turbo hoses are a little harder to find. Being an 89 740 Turbo, the lower hose is a twisted deal with a smaller hose joining it from the turbo. SO, what are the advantages of silicone besides longevity? Is it worth it if one can be found? FCP Euro had:Mishimoto Universal 1.02 Inch Diameter Blue Silicone Hose Kit - MMHOSE-UNI-102BL | FCP Euro, but does it fit? I can also get a non turbo hose and cast an adapter out of aluminum for the third hose with relative ease, but I'm not too sure what to get. So please tell me what you know. Thanks.

Joe, the original hose lasted 20+ years so, from a simplicity stand point, I'd say go back with o.e. I did all custom i/c plumbing when I swapped in a turbo motor. I had to as the turbo and intercooler were not stock. While it isn't the most difficult thing to do, it is time consuming.

Sounds good to me. 20 years is plenty.
