V70 wheels into Volvo 240
will the wheels of Volvo V70 can be used into my Volvo 240?

they have similar bolt patterns (and I think they share a 65mm center bore) but the 240s run an offset of 10-20mm and the V70s run an offset of 35-45mm. The lug bolts are different sizes too. The difference in offset means the inside edge of the rim will be about 1 inch closer to the inside fender/strut/shock etc. You'd need to run a 20mm spacer to get them to line up.

spacers are a pain to deal with. I'd stick with RWD (740/940) wheels on a 240.
with the basic live axle suspension of a 240/740/940 going to big rims with low profile tires gives you a harsh nasty ride. the cars need the tall sidewalls of the stock tires. frankly, I wouldn't go over a 15" on a 24. I have 16" factory wheels on my 740 T wagon and it harshes it. |
