Very frustrating problem with an 89 245

I've been having an ongoing problem with my 89 245 @ 300k. It runs 100% fine UNLESS it is raining. When it rains, the car loses all power, puts around, and dies at stops. When this issue first came up I thought it was going to be an easy fix, but none of the common issues have been the culprit. Here is a list of what I have done:

Replaced the 25 AMP fuse under the hood with a new water-tight kit from IPD

Replaced spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, and rotor

Replaced mass air flow sensor

Replaced fuel pump, check valve & filter

Please note, this problem ONLY HAPPENS WHEN IT'S RAINING

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

check the crank position sensor wiring?

which ignition controller does that have? our 87 has a 'chrysler' ignition controller mounted on the right fender behind the headlight, its prone to moisture related problems if you don't fill the connector pins up with dielectric grease.

oh. when it stops/stalls.... do the dashboard lights stay on normally, or do they dim out, or what?

Dashights stay on.

I forgot to mention that I replaced fuel pump relay as well.

Being an 89 I believe it has the Bosch lh2.4 set up with the crysler ignition.

I will check those connections.

the 89 green book wiring diagrams suggests EZ116k ignition, which puts the ICU near the ECU, behind the glovebox. at that location, the connector is probably not the issue.

you might do a wet test by using a spray bottle, and misting various electrical things under the hood while the engine is idling and seeing if any of them are water sensitive. I'm wondering if its not a ground connection or someting thats not liking getting wet.

I'll give that a shot today
