Volvo '90 740 Turbo Exhaust is white smoke

Greetings!
I bought this 740 a couple days before my band and I left for a 30 day tour. Shortly into the trip our Catalytic Converter got clogged making us max out at about 40 mph. We took it to a very nice man in El Paso who diagnosed the problem and hollowed out our catalytic converter. Unfortunately, it looks like someone stole our muffler right before we left for this trip. Now we're rolling with an unfiltered catalytic converter and all the exhaust is coming from the middle of the car. At first it was fine but now the exhaust is looking like white smoke and it's so overwhelming that we're choking on it.
Since the exhaust has been so overwhelming the check engine light has been on with the following error codes.
A2
131 (Ignition system RPM signal missing on starting)
113 (Fuel trim (lambda control) too lean or rich)
221 (Fuel trim (lambda control) too lean at part load)

Upon further inspection just now, it's looking like our exhaust is now black smoke when idling. If anyone can think of a possible quick fix for this brutal exhaust I will be forever in your debt!

white smoke is generally steam, meaning a coolant leak into the engine or at the turbo(it has water plumbed around it for cooling). black smoke typically means major engine problem, bad compression or something, burning way too rich and blowing carbon out. with no cat AND no muffler, you're running without nearly enough back pressure, that will cause all sorts of running problems, too.

re: ODB codes, clear them, and see if they come back. no RPM signal means bad CPS or wiring, and the engine wouldn't run at all, so that just may have been a transient problem.
