Parts Dept or sometimes service can give it to you as well. Make sure you take the radio in with you.

Yes but if the radio doesn't go to the car originally they will need the radio serial number off the top of the radio. Thats why I say to just take the radio in with you. It comes out very easy. There is 2 vertical tabs in the radio like before and after the preset buttons. Press them in and they will pop out some. Then pull them out the rest of the way and keep pulling the radio and it will slide right out.
Then unplug and go. This way they will have the radio right in front of them to get all the info they need to get the code the first time. |

Not on a 940, it won't. The 940 stock radio is quite a pain to take out. You have to take out the bottom ashtray and utility pocket and get it from underneath. Reaching from the side to get to the two springs that hold it usually will crack the housing.

But to add on some of the radio's you can pull the knobs and there is a slot to use a screw driver to compress the springs to slide it out. |

Betcha it would be service. Im sure they can transfer you to a different department if you guess wrong. I've done this a few times. I just called up a random Volvo dealership that was a few hundred miles away. All they asked for was the VIN number. Just call another place if they are giving you trouble.
