95 960 Rear Seat removal tips
Thought some others might benefit from my experience with removing the rear seat, since it's not very intuitive.
The seat bottom is held in place by two brackets on the bottom near the forward outer edges. Push down and back simultaneously on the bottom front edge of the seat, then pull up. The seat will flex enough for the retaining bar to come out of the bracket - the whole seat doesn't need to shift. It takes strong pressure.
To remove the seat back, first extend the center headrest, lift the plastic cover, and remove the three bolts holding the headrest bracket in place. Then look for the tabs at the bottom outside edges of the seat, bend the tabs up to release the hooks at the bottom outside corners. (Not a good design - removing the seats too many times will break the tabs due to metal fatigue.) Then strong upward pressure from the outside edges of the seat will disengage the seat from the brackets under the headrests.
It's not necessary to remove the center armrest, but if you want to it's just held in place by four bolts. The two outside headrests are each held by two bolts.
